Back in high school, I used to make the famous Pretzel Treats. Everyone loved them so much. So one day a few years ago, I decided to try them in cookie form. I have to say, they were a success 😊

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F. Grease a baking sheet. Then cream together the softened butter and butter shortening. Then add in the sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add in the two eggs, and mix again until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture into the dough, mixing between each addition.

Roughly chop the Hershey’s Hugs, and break the pretzels into pieces. I used pretzel sticks, because I already had some at home. But you could use the twist pretzels or the square pretzels as well. Fold in the Hugs, pretzels, and M&M’s by hand.

Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the cookies are golden brown.
