Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!
It's a few days late, I know - Things have been very busy lately.
Our first Halloween as a family of four, and we had a lot of fun!

Elayne wanted to dress up as Piglet this year. So I dressed up as Winnie the Pooh, Tommy was Christopher Robin, and baby Nicole was Tigger. We received lots of compliments about our costumes. I figure, we have to do the family costumes while Elayne will still let us.

And Elayne got to wear her costume several more times than just Halloween night. In addition to our usual trick-or-treating, Elayne went to two different trunk-or-treats, a Halloween party at school, and a Halloween festival in a nearby shopping center. She received all the candy. I think she had a lot of fun!
Of course, I did do a little baking this Halloween. It's definitely more difficult to do with both a toddler and a baby to take care of, but I somehow made it happen. I made a couple of things that we could snack on while handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. We took Elayne out trick-or-treating, but after a while, she decided she wanted to go home. I honestly think she had more fun passing out candy. Every time the doorbell rang, she ran to the door and opened it up. I came up behind her with the candy bowl and said "Happy Halloween! Take a few pieces." And Elayne had to repeat it for the trick-or-treaters each time. She was very cute!

Anyways, for our Halloween snacks/dinner, I made a Spider Cheese Ball. It was yummy, and turned out very well! It’s an easy recipe to make, but looks impressive too.

I also made some Pumpkin Oreo Balls. They are deliciously sweet, and also easy to make. 😊
I also had a cheese board, just to give us a little protein too. This was our dinner, so we needed something a little filling.
