I made this the other night when we had a few friends over to watch the Tech bowl game. Everyone loved it - there was hardly any left after the game.

And it was incredibly easy to make! Start by cooking and shredding some chicken. I boiled mine on the stove to cook it. And then I used two forks to shred it apart. You'll need about 2 cups of shredded chicken.
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray. Then open the cans of crescent rolls. Lay them out in a ring on the baking sheet. To do this, the short side of each triangle should be facing into the circle. And the points should be facing out, so it looks like a sun.
Now, make the filling. In a medium bowl, stir together the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Ranch seasoning, and bacon bits. Mix them until all the ingredients are well-combined.

Spoon the filling mixture onto the crescent roll ring, just at the base of the triangles.
Fold the ends of the dough up and over the filling. Tuck the ends of the dough under the ring to prevent it from coming apart.

Bake until the ring turns a nice golden-brown. Remove from the oven, and allow to cool for a minute or two before transferring from the baking sheet. After cooled slightly, move the crescent ring to a platter. Serve with Ranch for dipping.
